Friends of the Rivers

By coming together we are stronger, working together towards the long term health of our rivers.

Friends of the Rivers is a framework that can be adopted by other community groups in order to;

• Effectively progress resolution to sewage spills into our rivers

• More easily establish your local Friends of the Rivers group under a wider umbrella.

• Establish a robust bacterial and chemical testing programme for your river

• Publicly share high quality information about water quality and pollution concerns

• Engage relevant stakeholders and your communities

• Come together with a united voice to effect governmental legislation
