Dartington pontoon

We are monitoring water quality weekly at the pontoon in Dartington. This site is used regularly by kayakers and swimmers. The charts below show the latest data from these sites. The lines indicate European Union guidance for acceptable inland water quality for these tests.

The charts show bacteria measurements are consistently above acceptable levels. Where the bars show ‘1000’ this means that the sample exceeded the sensitivity of the tests. Future test samples will be diluted to allow for a more accurate reading. For these measurements we are only able to conclude that the reading was higher than 1000 (which in any case exceeds the recommended levels).
